Thursday Night and Summer Sundays at the Races

If you’re not sailing in a race, come on down and cheer the racers on! It’s a great opportunity to learn more about the Kenosha Yacht Club (KYC) and the Kenosha Community Sailing Center (KCSC). Don’t have your own boat? Don’t want to deal with the hassle of owning and caring for a sailboat? KCSC members can also check out boats from our fleet. Thursday and Sundays are also game day. In the winter months we have a cribbage league. Summer months, enjoy the outdoor deck and get in a game or two of cribbage, cards or your favorite board game.

Friday Night ‘Club Night’

On Friday nights there is usually a “Club Night” get together at KYC’s Happy Hour. It gives everyone a chance to get caught up on local happenings and to socialize with other members and friends. During the summer, our outdoor deck and dock area is a great place to enjoy drinks, great food and socialize.

Year-round Activities

The Social Committee schedules social events on a year-round basis for the enjoyment of its members. Typical scheduled events during the year are the Blue & White Party and Golf Outing in April, Kentucky Derby/Cinco De Mayo and Family Cookout in May, themed social events in June, July and August, Talk Like a Pirate Family Fun in September, Chili Cook-off and the Halloween Costume Party in October, Ugly Sweater/Festive Boat Party and Holiday Party in December.

Family Fun

Family Cookout, Movie Night dockside once a month during the summer, Kidsgatta, Why Knot Party, Bermuda Triangle Scavenger Hunt, Talk Like a Pirate Party, Halloween Costume Party and Holiday Party to name a few.

Fresh Air

Races, movies, games and dockside mixer on July 4 weekend; cook-outs, Dog Days of Summer, Hawaiian Luau, Mediterranean Boat Parade(Sail and Power Boats) and Festive Boats.

Casual

Happy hour on Fridays, Derby Day and Cinco De Mayo parties, Oktoberfest, Chili Cook-off, Halloween Party, Ugly Sweater Contest and Holiday Party.

Dog Days of Summer Pet Shelter Charity, Ugly Sweater/Festive Boats Shalom Food Pantry Drive, Holiday Party Giving Tree for Women’s Horizons, Third Annual Holiday Party Celebrity Bartender’s for Charity.
